Spawn

Grain spawn is one of the most important materials used in mushroom cultivation. It consists of sterilized grains that have been colonized by actively growing mycelium, allowing cultivators to expand fungal cultures into larger substrates.

Grains provide an ideal medium for mycelial growth because they contain nutrients and a large surface area for colonization. Once fully colonized, grain spawn can be mixed with bulk substrates where each grain acts as a new point of fungal expansion.

This process accelerates colonization and improves consistency in mushroom production. Grain spawn is widely used in both small-scale and commercial mushroom cultivation systems.

Milieu Mushrooms grain spawn is prepared to support reliable mycelial growth and efficient substrate inoculation.
